Jay Hartwell
Jay Hartwell is the retired faculty adviser to the student
media program at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa (kaleo.org [1]
@kaleoohawaii). Besides presenting at annual college journalism
conventions, Hartwell was a Fulbright Scholar in Viet Nam
(2013-2014) when he ran journalism workshops for students and
professionals throughout the country. Prior to joining the
university, Hartwell was a reporter for _The Honolulu Advertiser_
and author of "Na Mamo: Hawaiian People Today," which won Hawaii
Book of the Year honors in 1997. He was graduated from Columbia
University's School of Journalism.
