Wendy Tang is an independent tech writer.
It took Wendy eight years in her journalism career to find her calling in covering technology and business. Based in Beijing, she covers China’s tech titans and the Chinese capital’s burgeoning startup community. Prior to moving to Beijing, Wendy has been honing her journalism craft in New York, Atlanta and Hong Kong. She had stints with NY1 News, CNN International, Asia Society and the Wall Street Journal.
AAJA was first introduced to Wendy in 2007 while she interned at CNN’s New York bureau. She remains active in the association. She made an impression with a CNN International Executive Producer at the 2009 national convention in Boston and was later offered to work at CNN’s global HQ. This is just one of many AAJA stories she has. She most recently served as Hong Kong Vice President of the Asia chapter and co-chaired N3Con in Hong Kong in 2013 and 2014.
Wendy holds a B.Sc. in Communications Studies from New York University and a Master of Journalism from the University of Hong Kong.
